Filter Media in Hot Gas Filters

We offer two types of filtration media for use in our hot gas filters:

Powder Sintered
Powder Sintered

Metal powders are compacted in a tubular shape before sintering. The advantages here are the high strength offered by the tortuous sintered porous network. The downside to this kind of filter is the increased pressure drop compared to multilayered sintered filters, where the porous structure is ordered. The availability of metal powders in various materials is easier as compared to meshes, which means that the range of materials that can be offered in this type of filter is wider.

Multilayered Sintered

Woven metal meshes are layered on top of each other before sintering. The resulting contiguous network is a very ordered one, which offers lower pressure drop. However, difficulties in weaving meshes of various materials means that the minimum pore size and availability is restricted.
