Our SS cartridge filter housings come in single and multi-cartridge designs, catering to varying flow rates and filtration requirements. They are engineered to accommodate standard filter cartridges of lengths such as 10", 20", and even 40", with end configurations like DOE, code7, and code3, ensuring compatibility with international standards.

Features of Stainless Filter Housing

SS filter housings come with all internal surface buffed to a mirror finish. Electropolishing post buffing can be done for specific cases.

 

Standard end connections are BSP threaded type upto 2" and ASA 150 flanges for higher sizes. Other end connections like tri-clover, BS flanges,dairy couplings etc. are also available. High pressure fitting can be made on request.

 

All housings are designed for a working pressure of 5.0 kg/cm2g as a standard. High pressure designs for ratings upto 100 kg/cm2g are also offered. Jacketed design for the shell will be available for filtering liquids which are to be maintained at high temperature during filtration.

Filtration Process of Our SS cartridge filter housing

The filtration process in an SS filter housing involves several key steps to ensure effective removal of contaminants:

 

  1. Pre-Filtration: The process begins with pre-filtration, where large particles and waste material are captured before reaching the main filter media. This step helps prevent clogging and extends the life of the filter cartridges. It is done in a separate assembly, which is then piped to the main filtration housing.
  2. Main Filtration: Once the pre-filtration stage is complete, the fluid enters the main filtration media. Here, the filter cartridges catch finer particles, impurities, and contaminants from the fluid stream. The filter housing's design ensures minimal pressure drop, maximizing filtration efficiency.
  3. Filtrate Collection: As the fluid passes through the filter cartridges, the purified liquid, known as filtrate, is collected and directed towards the outlet for further processing or use. The filtered fluid is free from contaminants, making it suitable for various industrial applications.
  4. Backwashing (Optional): This process involves reversing the flow of fluid temporarily to clearing water particles from the filter media. It helps maintain the filter's performance.
