From considerable research and development, we have developed our own process for manufacturing metal powder sintered filters. We are able to provide completely Made-In-India sintered filters, from raw material to tested and qualified finished pieces. We can make custom sizes as per your request, in materials like Hastelloy, Inconel, and different grades of Stainless steel.
All of our filters are individually tested and marked, ensuring complete traceability.
Welding of metallic filter media viz. Powder sintered SS316L, Hastelloy C-22 , Multilayered Sintered SS316L etc are conventionally done by manual TIG welding. The manually welded joints at times, have microscopic pin holes, which are difficult to repair.
KPCCPL is probably the only filter manufacturer in India to have successfully adopted robotic welding processes to weld filter media. It is a proud moment in the history of the organization that the robotic welding machines have been developed in-house by our team of highly qualified engineers.
What used to be a job requiring highly skilled people has now become a parametric and scientific process, operable successfully by non-skilled individuals.
The entire welding operation is controlled remotely by the operator. This ensures a controlled & uniform welding bead all through the welded joint. Pin holes & other irregularities associated with manual welding are eliminated due to the automatic robotic machine welding, thereby ensuring a superior finish of the final product i.e. the filter cartridges or filter discs which are used for product filtration in the Pharma & chemical process industries.
As a complement to robotic welding, we have gone a step further and developed metal forming machines in-house to get the desired joint geometry for the process.
Our practices at Kumar Process continue to be innovative to offer the best in terms of product quality.
The selection & sizing of an optimal filtration system can be done by conducting trials on representative samples. Simulation of operating parameters is done while conducting trials which help in generation of accurate data. Trials give us an insight into the fluid characteristics & the problems faced during filtration. This helps in selection of the correct M.O.C, type & grade of filter best suited for the application.
Our state-of-the-art laboratory is equipped with a high-precision laser particle analyzer which works on the principle of laser diffraction. It detects particle sizes as fine as 0.04 micron and provides a graphical/tabulated data of the particle size as well as its percentage quantity.
Our commitment to quality has driven us to draft a quality manual which has procedures listed out for checking all the components that go into assembly of a filter. All filters & accessories offered by us are subjected to as many as 10 quality checks by qualified engineers / technicians. This ensures that these components indeed are designed for performance to the fullest satisfaction of the customer. This is in tune with our company's proclaimed objectives stated in our Quality Management System.
We are constantly researching, improving ourselves, and are looking to disrupt the same lineup of products the industry has seen for the past 40 years! Contact us to learn about our new high-efficiency filters (patent-pending).
