Multilayered Sintered Filter Cartridge

Made from sinter-bonded SS 316L meshes or Hastelloy C-22/C-276 meshes, our SS multilayered sintered filter cartridges and sintered mesh filters are available in various diameters and forms. These multilayer sintered mesh filters are manufactured by sintering multiple layers of metal mesh together . The sintering process includes heating the metal components at a high temperature (below their melting point) to create a strong bonding layer between the particles, forming a porous design structure.

  • High Mechanical Strength
  • Orientation of adjacent mesh layers with maximum overlapping of pores ensuring higher flow rate
  • Supports Low Pressure Drop
  • Available in porosities ranging from 150 Micron to 2 Micron
  • Available in 10", 20", 30" & 40" as standard with customized option
  • Made of sinter-bonded 5/7/10/custom layered SS316L / Hastelloy C-22 meshes
  1. Support filtration of viscous fluids, ensuring smooth operations in industrial processes.
  2. These cartridges facilitate the recovery of Noble Metal catalysts, enhancing sustainability in chemical and catalytic filtration.
  3. Ideal for gas sparging, our filters provide reliable and effective gas-liquid mixing solutions for various industries.
  4. Multilayered sintered filter discs are a standard feature in state-of-the-art ANFDs, replacing cloth-based media. Cloth is prone to tearing, which can lead to bypass as well as contamination of the filtrate.

Multilayered Sintered Filter Cartridge

Our multilayer sintered metal filters are made by using advanced techniques like special lamination pressing and vacuum sintering, resulting in a rigid pore structure. Once the sintering process is complete, each layer is bonded to the next layer, and are inseparable. These multilayer sintered meshes may be rolled into cylindrical shapes and welded at the ends with precision to form cartridges. The filter media may be offered flat if needed. We can tailor the mesh layering as per your need. The default product is a 5-layered filter media, comprising 2 reinforcing layers, 1 distribution layer, 1 filtration layer, and a protection layer.

Our range includes SS316L and HC22 and HC276 multilayered - sintered filter plates as well as filter cartridges. Additionally, for higher operating and differential pressures, we carry out proprietary procedures to strengthen the filter cartridge and filter plates

Multilayered sintered filters have a uniform porosity arising from the uniformity of the weave. This also leads to a very narrow pore size distribution, as compared to powder sintered filters. The smooth surface of the woven metal mesh allows the filter cake to be easily cleaned from the surface by backwashing.

Kumar process consultants has extensive experience in the design of multilayered filter cartridges and ANFD discs. We have proprietary features that will help in extending the working life of the filter media. Additionally, we have our own sintering facility for sintering of multi-layered sintered filters, in addition to our facility for sintering of powder-sintered filters. This gives us an edge in designing custom filter media for your particular application. Our lead times are automatically reduced, owing to in-house manufacturing.

Multilayer Sintered Filter Plates

Multilayered sintered filter plates can be considered as high performance filtration solutions, offering both precision and durability. Multilayered sintered filter plates are designed by layering several fine wire meshes, each bonded together under high heat and pressure through a process known as diffusion bonding.

Types of Wire Mesh Used in Multilayer Sintered Filter Plates

Wire mesh plays a critical role in the construction of multilayer sintered filter plates, providing the necessary structural support and filtration precision. Different types of wire mesh are bonded depending on the filtration requirements, pressure loads, and backwashing needs.
